He is a quintessential educationist, a distinguished University Professor and Administrator, a community leader, a seasoned writer and, above all, a legal luminary. He also served as a five-term Dean of Law and a Deputy Vice-Chancellor.

Apart from his numerous contributions in academic circles, Prof. Ilegbune has diverse litigation experience in both the State and Federal trials and appellate courts. He has handled cases in court, administrative enquiries, and before arbitration panels. Additionally, Prof. Ilegbune has successfully handled appeals before the Nigerian Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.

In addition to individual clients, Prof. Ilegbune’s clients have included financial institutions, utility companies, manufacturers, hospitals, schools, several companies, law enforcement officers and clergy, you name it.

Prof. Ilegbune, a Professor of Law and a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), brings over 40 years of legal experience to the Firm’s project financing and investment. His pragmatic and result-driven approach has made him a veteran and trusted advisor to national, regional, community banks, real estate developers and financial institutions throughout Abuja, Nigeria and beyond. Traditionally, Prof. Ilegbune is a well-revered person and has been accorded the High Chieftaincy title in his community as the Owelle of Igbariam.

In December 2005, in recognition of his outstanding virtues and in appreciation of services to the country, Nigeria, Prof. Ilegbune was awarded the distinguished National Honour, Title and Priviledges of Officer of the Order of the Nigeria (OON). He is happily married with children and grand children
